Spas
What's the difference between foam spas and inflatable?
The foam hot tubs, such as the Como, Garda, and Tahoe models, are not inflatable. They are part of Wave's range of rigid eco foam spas, which feature an integrated heater and are designed to be more thermally efficient. If you are looking for inflatable options, Wave also offers inflatable hot tubs like the Pacific, Aegean, and Atlantic models

What is CEC certified?
CEC certification refers to the California Energy Commission's standards for energy efficiency. Products with this certification meet specific energy-saving criteria, ensuring they are environmentally friendly and cost-effective. This certification helps consumers identify products that can reduce energy consumption and lower utility bills
Our CEC spa bundles come with a thermal cover and foam mat to ensure they comply with CA regulations
Are Wave Spas easy to set up?
The Eco Foam hot tubs can be put together by anyone without tools in about 30 minutes. Tool Free.
What is an integrated system?
Our spa heaters are integrated within the spa liner for a super slick design, space saving convenience and quieter running noise

What does my hot tub arrive with?
Your hot tub arrives with a heater unit, cover, filter, filter housing, inflation hose and ground sheet, which is everything you need to set up your new hot tub.
How much does it cost to run a foam spa?
The average cost of powering all of our heater units is £0.23 per hour.
Our Rigid Foam Hot Tubs take approximately 27 hours to get to maximum temperature of 40°C - meaning that the total cost to reach maximum temperature is £6.21 - approximately £3.00 less than the inflatable counterparts.
Our Inflatable Hot Tubs take approximately 40 hours to get to maximum temperature of 40°C - meaning that the total cost to reach maximum temperature is £9.20
The average cost of bubble function is £0.35 per hour. However, the bubble function cannot be run simultaneously with the heater function, therefore we recommend sporadic use in order to retain optimal water temperature.
The cost of maintaining heat is approximately the same as the cost to heat up (£0.23 per hour), but this does differ depending on the ambient temperature. Where you are located will impact water temperature, if you frequently experience low temperatures, we would recommend insulating your tub sufficiently with our Inflatable Hot Tub Covers and Bubble Mat Liners.
*Please note, these calculation are based around the average UK cost of cents per kWh. These prices will vary depending on your electricity provider. Please check for an updated price with your electrical supply company if you need to calculate more detailed usage costs.
Can I use my spa all year round?
Yes! As Wave foam hot tubs are insulated and reinforced with a protective rattan/leather finish, you can definitely use your spa all year round. Our tubs can sit comfortably outdoors in most weather conditions. However, to ensure the protection of your heater unit, we recommend moving your hot tub indoors when temperatures drop lower than 4°C (40°F) - or ensuring your heater unit is protected from the elements.
Does the spa come with a cover?
Yes, the inflatable cover includes a 6mm foam core and internal foil lining to ensure maximum thermal efficiency for your hot tub all year round.
What filters do I need?
All Wave spas with integrated heaters, including rigid eco foam models from 2020 onwards and inflatable spas from 2022, use screw-on/threaded filters. Spas from earlier years with external heaters will require cartridge/non-threaded filters.
